In the quiet corridors of the Madarsa Hunari, Jaipur’s ancestral craft knowledge was first transformed into a systematic discipline that honored the hereditary artisan over the academic painter. This 1866 institution became the backbone of our city’s karkhana economy, ensuring that the rhythm of the block and the glint of minakari remained rooted in practice rather than relegated to history.
